COVID-19 Guidance:
To all participants, please see the guidance from the facility and our role in being compliant to be able to operate and facilitate these training sessions. As such, the Calgary City Royals will operate as follows:
“The province declared a State of Public Health Emergency in response to the rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. In response to this announcement the Absolute Baseball Academy will be implementing the Government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program beginning Monday, September 20, 2021.
This means that proof of vaccination (single) or a negative COVID-19 test (within the past 72 hours - PCR or Rapid Tests ONLY) will be required for all staff, coaches, customers, players, spectators and user groups who are 12 years and older. The exception to this regulation is those with proof of medical exemption and children 0-11 years of age.
Please Note: Single proof of vaccination will be acceptable only until Oct 25, 2021 at which time proof of double vaccination will be required.
At this time the responsibility will be on the permit holder (user group - The Royals) to ensure compliance with vaccine requirements - this includes their participants, coaches and spectators. We know this will look a little differently for various organizations (TeamSnap, log books etc.,) but ask that a system be put into place that meets these requirements and that if asked you are able to prove that guidelines have been met.
At this time, our facility will open and operate as scheduled. The City’s face mask bylaw will stay in place through the State of Public Health Emergency, which means face coverings are still required in all indoor spaces unless patrons are engaged in activity.
The health and safety of our customers and employees will remain top priority for us. The Restrictions Exemption Program is new to everyone and we appreciate your patience as we work through the logistics to roll it out. During this time, we ask that you please continue to be kind and patient with customers and staff as we work to keep everyone safe.”
If you have any questions, please contact Geoff McFarlane as we will be logging all players upon entry to ensure we meet these requirements.
Kind regards,
CCR Baseball
